Disney on Ice – Passport to Adventure | Win Four Free Tickets!

I love the holidays! There are so many fun things to do with the kids. One of my favorite, which we go to every year, is Disney on Ice. She loves the music, dancing and of course her favorite Disney characters (Ariel because she loves swimming and Aurora because her dress is pink).

This year, Disney on Ice is coming to Toledo, Ohio at the Huntington Center on December 8 – 11 for their new show Passport to Adventure. They were kind enough to offer one of my readers four free tickets for their family to attend opening night on December 8 at 7pm!

Here’s a bit more about the show:

You and your family will explore the African Pride Lands with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa, voyage deep under the sea to Ariel’s mystical underwater kingdom and tour London with Peter Pan and Wendy before flying to Neverland to meet up with Tinker Bell. You’ll also be whisked away to Arendelle for an extraordinary adventure with sisters Anna and Elsa, rugged mountain man Kristoff and everyone’s favorite, huggable snowman Olaf, as they journey to discover that true love is the most magical power of all.

Show times are: Thursday, Dec. 8, 7 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 9, 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 10, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 11, 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. 

Tickets are on sale now at www.ticketmaster.com.

This year’s show features an international team of award-winning figure skaters, high-energy choreography and a colorful set that captures all four unique worlds. These people are seriously talented and impress me just as much as Lila!

Since the weather has gotten warmer, I feel like we’re finally able to experience our neighborhood. Our neighbors are outside, the farmer’s market up the street has started for the summer and we’re venturing out to experience more of the local businesses.

One of the things I love about living in Perrysburg, OH is that it is a thriving, family-oriented community that seems to be growing and developing like crazy. A new development that we are especially excited about is the new Costco going in.

We personally have not been Costco members before, but after hearing about all the natural and organic options they offer, we are planning to become members. I was really happy when Costco reached out to me to help get the word out about their grand opening.

Minted Holiday Card Review – Plus a $50 Giveaway!

I will admit, I am not be the mom who bakes a lot, or does crafty projects each week, or all those other above and beyond things I always mean to do. Who has the time?!

BUT sending out Christmas cards is one item on my do-to list I am committed to. It’s just a nice feeling to send out a beautiful card with photos of our family and well-wishes for the season to all our nearest and dearest. I know, I know … Christmas cards already?!

My First Giveaway! Hand-Painted Earrings from Buenos Aires

TGIF everyone! It’s been so much fun writing this blog and I’ve gotten some great responses from friends, family and even complete strangers. I wanted to host a small giveaway to let you all know how appreciative I am of your support and advice.

While in Buenos Aires, Luke and I spent one day wandering a street fair in San Telmo. There were all sorts of interesting local crafts for sale, but these  earrings caught my eye.

They are hand-painted on a band of hardened-leather and were being sold by a young, twenty-something girl. I picked up a pair for myself and thought- “this would be perfect to use for a reader giveaway!”
